10 Paint Colors That Promote Productivity - InteGrand

office paintOffice design can have a heavier impact on your productivity than you may have thought. Colors influence moods daily, so it is important to surround yourself with images and colors that will keep you positive and focused. So which colors keep you focused, and how can you integrate them seamlessly into your workspace?

According to this Huffington Post article, the color orange can keep you cheery and happy throughout the day. The way it affects our minds, according to ancient Feng Shui knowledge, is that it promotes better focus, energy, and organization. Pink, yellow, green, and blue, when in bright hues, also affect us in positive ways. For example, pink is supposed to reduce our feelings of irritation and make us feel less lonely, green can make us feel less tired, and blue can increase our calmness and our creativity at the same time.

Through the very same logic, many different brightly colored hues will encourage you to keep that motor running. A very bright blue or even red will help boost your energy levels and keep you getting your work done! It’s also psychological—if you decide you want an energizing color around you, it will rewire your brain to support the very same goal.

Something you can do to incorporate bright colors into your work life is to start small by using bright objects, like yellow notebooks and orange pens for your notes. Even small changes can be a help when it comes to your energy and focus. Also consider investing in a house plant to get nature and the color green inside your workspace. Another idea is to place small mirrors around, so that colors reflect off of one another. Mirrors also make it seem as though your space is larger. If you’re looking for a much more drastic change, consider painting your walls in energizing, bright hues. Or select furniture in vivid, exciting colors to keep you going!
