Disposing Sensitive Data - InteGrand

iStock_000049615720_FullIn the past year, there have been some pretty big data breaches both in the business and in people’s personal lives. We know that nobody wants their personal information floating around, so here are some ways to keep you, and your business secure, by properly disposing of sensitive data.

Files on your computer stick around long after clicking and dragging them into the trash can. Even if you empty the trashcan, some of the data remains. Downloading a program like Secure Empty Trash or Cleaner can overwrite data on your computer files as well as permanently erasing them, freeing up space and making sure they can’t ever be accessed again.

If you want to take this a step further and dispose of the entire computer, InteGrand can help you do so safely and effectively through our recycling program. We use Department of Defense specifications for data destruction and provide a Certificate of Recycling and/or Certificate of Data Destruction, so you can be rest assured that your sensitive documents will not see the light of day.

We are committed to properly disposing of all of your electronics in a professional and responsible way that is safe for the environment and gives you peace of mind.
