InteGrand’s New Partnership with Patriot Assistance Dogs - InteGrand
InteGrand is thrilled to be partnering with PADs, or Patriot Assistance Dogs, a dog-training service for military veterans who struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other mental or physical stresses.
Supporting the troops has always been important to us, and we are so excited to be partnering with PADs. This organization is working hard to train dogs who can remind veterans to take medication, interrupt harmful behavior, lead veterans away from stressful situations, and provide comfort during panic attacks.
Nearly 80% of the PADs dogs come from city pounds, or public and private rescues. The dogs are formally and thoroughly medically cleared and trained before pairing with a veteran. And the program is inspiring both generosity and goodwill. So far, 113 dogs have been donated to the PADs program; 26 people have opened their homes to foster and train prospective dogs; 5 volunteer trainers have donated their time and efforts for free; and 80 PAD teams have completed training and certification!
